Sometime in the fall of this year (probably late Sept. or early Oct.), William Wordsworth writes his first poetry. The topic, which is assigned by his schoolmaster at Hawkshead School (William Taylor), is "The Summer Vacation." During Christmas vacation later this year, Wordsworth composes his first "voluntary" poetry on the theme of The Return from School.
